Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information AZ Green Magazine (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you visit azgreenmagazine.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.
Who We Are
The Site is operated by AZ Green Magazine. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@azgreenmagazine.com.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Contact form and email. When you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, subject, and the content of your message.
- Quizzes and tools. Our interactive tools, such as the How Green Are You quiz and the solar panel direction tool, process the answers or ZIP code you enter to show you a result. If a tool asks for optional details, such as an email address, you decide whether to provide them.
Information collected automatically
- Server and security logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider and security software record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of your visit. We use this data to keep the Site running, secure, and protected from abuse.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them as described in the next section.
Cookies and Your Consent
When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button on the Site. We use:
- Necessary cookies to make the Site work and to remember your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
- Advertising cookies set by Google and its partners to show and measure ads.
Non-essential cookies are used only with your consent where the law requires it. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the Site may then not work as intended.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services and opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ad Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, personalized ads are shown only with your consent.
Analytics and Other Google Services
We use Google Site Kit to connect the Site with Google services such as Google Search Console and AdSense, and we may use Google Analytics to measure traffic. These services collect information such as pages visited, approximate location, device, and browser, and use cookies or similar identifiers. Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy.
Affiliate Links
Some articles contain affiliate links, including links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network may set cookies to record that the visit came from our Site. We do not receive your name, payment details, or what else you buy. For details, see our Affiliate Disclosure.
Embedded Content and Third-Party Services
Pages on the Site may load content or features from other services, such as social sharing buttons (including Pinterest), author profile images from Gravatar, embedded videos, maps or data widgets, and web fonts. These providers may receive your IP address and set their own cookies, and their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies. We also use spam-protection services to filter automated abuse of our forms.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
- respond to your messages and requests;
- understand how the Site is used and improve our content and tools;
- show and measure ads, and earn affiliate commissions;
- comply with legal obligations.
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on your consent for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising, on our legitimate interests for running and securing the Site and replying to messages, and on legal obligations where applicable.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with:
- service providers that help us run the Site, such as our hosting provider, Google, and spam-protection services;
- advertising and affiliate partners, through the cookies described above, according to your choices;
- authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Some of these providers are located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep contact messages for as long as needed to handle your request and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless the law requires otherwise. Server logs are kept for limited periods set by our hosting and security providers. Cookie lifetimes depend on the cookie and the provider.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, for example through Cookie settings;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and disclosed, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out by rejecting advertising cookies in Cookie settings or by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email info@azgreenmagazine.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we aim to respond within 30 days (or 45 days where California law allows).
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), security software, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
